Improve Dentistry in Swansea

HAVE YOUR SAY ON ACCESS TO NHS DENTISTRY

As your Senedd Member, I want to hear about the issues that matter most to you — including your experiences of accessing NHS Wales dentistry.

Over recent years, many people across Swansea and Gower have told me how difficult it has become to find an NHS dentist or to secure a routine appointment. Others have shared concerns about long waiting times, practices no longer taking on NHS patients, and the rising cost of private treatment.

Access to NHS dentistry is a vital part of our healthcare system, yet too many residents feel they are being left without the care they need.

I regularly hear from people who are worried about the impact this is having on families, older residents, and children who need regular dental check-ups. Many local people feel more must be done to ensure everyone can access affordable, high-quality dental care when they need it.

Like many residents, I believe improving access to NHS dentistry should be a priority.

That’s why I want to hear directly from you.

I hold regular advice surgeries to help local people with issues or concerns, and over the past few years I’ve met thousands of residents from across our communities.

However, I understand that attending a surgery isn’t always convenient.

That’s why I’m asking you to complete this short survey — so I can better understand your experiences with NHS dentistry and ensure the voices of people in Swansea and Gower are properly heard.

Your response will help me continue to press the Welsh Government for improvements and represent the views of local people when raising the issue of dental access in Wales.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your views.
