Let's Reopen Mumbles Pier

HAVE YOUR SAY ON RE-OPENING MUMBLES PIER

As your Senedd Member, I want to hear about the issues that matter most to you — including your views on the future of Mumbles Pier.

Mumbles Pier has been an important landmark for our community for generations. For many local people it holds special memories and has long been a key part of the identity and heritage of Mumbles and the wider Swansea Bay area.

However, the pier has now been closed for some time, and many residents have raised concerns about its future and whether it can be restored and re-opened for the public to enjoy again.

Across Swansea and Gower, I regularly hear from people who feel strongly that the pier should be protected and brought back into use if possible. Others want to ensure that any plans for its future respect the character of the area and preserve what makes Mumbles such a special place.

Like many local residents, I believe it is important that the community has a clear voice in discussions about what happens next.

That’s why I want to hear directly from you.

I hold regular advice surgeries to help local people with issues or concerns, and over the past few years I’ve met thousands of residents from across our communities.

However, I understand that attending a surgery isn’t always convenient.

That’s why I’m asking you to complete this short survey — so I can better understand your views on the future of Mumbles Pier and ensure the voices of people in Swansea and Gower are properly heard.

Your response will help me continue to press for answers and represent the views of local people when decisions about the pier’s future are being discussed.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your views.
